Guachipelín Cannyoning

A day full of excitement and adrenaline awaits you at Hacienda Guachipelín. The adventure begins with a safety briefing from our certified guides. Once you have your harness on, the journey starts through the canyon of the Colorado River, where different activities like canopy tours and waterfall rappelling will be combined.
After the rope experience, you’ll return to the starting point to hop on some horses for a 45-minute horseback ride. During this ride, you can observe all sorts of local flora and fauna, such as monkeys, armadillos, and colorful birds. The ride takes you to the river, where the next activity begins. Upon reaching the river, a group of guides will be waiting to accompany you on a tubing adventure. You’ll take a short walk to the base of Victoria Waterfall, and in this part of the tour, you’ll experience lots of fun moments bumping into rocks with the inner tubes and enjoying the crystal-clear waters of the Colorado River.
Following the tubing adventure, we’ll take you back to the hacienda’s restaurant for lunch. Here, you can savor a variety of Costa Rican dishes, fruits, a salad bar, and different side dishes.
After lunch, we’ll head to the natural hot springs of Rio Negro, a wonderful place surrounded by tropical dry forest. There are ten pools with naturally heated thermal waters from the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano. These mineral-rich, crystal-clear waters offer a unique experience. You can even have a volcanic mud bath, applying volcanic clay mud like a spa mask, allowing it to dry, and then rinsing it off with a cold river shower.
