Now, under the management of the non-profit organization, the Monteverde Conservation League, BEN stands out as the largest private reserve in Costa Rica.
BEN is much more than a biodiversity sanctuary. It is a hub of activities dedicated to conservation and environmental education. Here, the mission is to preserve and rehabilitate tropical ecosystems and their biodiversity. This is achieved through reforestation, research, ongoing protection, and surveillance. Additionally, sustainable development and ecotourism are promoted, including trails, talks, hikes, and biological stations.
As part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve “Agua y Paz” and as a founding member of the Costa Rican Private Reserves Network and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), BEN is a beacon of conservation and global collaboration. · For a service request to be valid, payment must be made in advance at least 48 hours before the scheduled date.
· Any modifications must be notified 48 hours before the service (dates, participants, times, etc.) and must be requested and confirmed via WhatsApp Business or email. They are also subject to availability and may require additional charges.
· Any cancellation request made 48 hours before the service date will be 100% refundable.
· Any cancellation request made less than 48 hours before the service date will incur a 50% penalty.
