Located on the Caribbean slope of Costa Rica and at a higher altitude than the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, the Santa Elena Reserve treats you to unparalleled views of the majestic Arenal Volcano and its lagoon on clear days. You can enjoy these views from any of its three observation towers: the Observation Tower and Observation Platform on the Youth Challenge Trail and the Caño Negro Lookout on the Caño Negro Trail. From the Observation Tower, you can also gaze upon the Tenorio, Miravalles, and Rincón de la Vieja Volcanoes. And on clear days, a symphony of natural beauty, from the Platanar Volcano to Lake Nicaragua, Cerro Chato, and Cerro Pelado!
